<p>The Poplar Creek book group will read <i>“Go Set a Watchman” </i>&nbsp;by Harper Lee which is a continuation of the story of “Scout” and Atticus Finch from “To Kill a Mockingbird” set two decades later during a time of civil rights tensions and political turmoil.&nbsp; Jean Louise Finch returns to Maycomb, Alabama from New York City where she is now living.&nbsp; She learns truths about her own childhood, her town, her family, and the people dearest to her all resulting in putting her values and assumptions into doubt.&nbsp; This story is about the painful, yet necessary, transition out of the illusions of the past for Jean Louise personally, her family, and her town.&nbsp; Please join us for refreshments and discussion.&nbsp; Registration required.</p>
