After School Open Gym Program
Open Gym is a free program for residents of Hanover Township in kindergarten through 6th grade. It takes place after school and during school breaks. The program gives kids a safe place to go when school isn't in session. They can make friends, try new activities, and feel connected to their school and community. Trained staff lead the program, helping kids build good relationships, explore creative hobbies, and stay active with fun games and sports.
Open Gym runs at 5 school district U-46 sites, PLUS 5 days a week at our Izaak Walton Youth Center at 899 Jay Street in Elgin.
